Plainfield East High School to host 2nd annual summer art studio

Campers who attend the 2018 Summer Art Studio at Plainfield East High School will learn about ceramics like these attendees did during last year’s camp. The camp runs from Monday, July 9, 2018 to Thursday, July 12, 2018. District 202 students ages four to 13 can learn about art during the second annual Summer Art Studio at Plainfield East High School, 12001 Naperville Road, Plainfield.

Participants will learn drawing, painting and ceramics techniques in four, two-hour sessions from Monday, July 9, 2018 to Thursday, July 12, 2018. Registration ends May 31, 2018.

The age grouping are:

  • Ages four to six, and seven to nine, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday through Thursday
  • Ages 10 to 13, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday

Registration is $100 and includes art supplies and a T-shirt. There is a 10 percent discount off the total if more than one child is registered from the same household by using code 10OFF at checkout.

Proceeds from the studio will benefit the PEHS Art Department Scholarship and the PEHS National Art Honors Society Scholarship.

Students will get to take home all their creations, and should wear play clothes or art aprons to class.
